skills, network consultants or analysts applying complex design methodology to meet the customer requirements.
Our objective is to bring emerging technologies to a customer's market needs.
As a particular technology progresses along the adoption curve and becomes more standardized, it can evolve into a specialization. Our design team provides the necessary knowledge and skills to bring emerging technologies to market.
The design phase is closely aligned with the overall project planning and professional services phases.
Design tasks would begin as part of External Project Kickoff phase where IST would:
- Help determine the required business resources for future contact
- Schedule Application Design Workshop/Planning Meetings
- Schedule Systems Design Workshop
The workshops and meetings form key inputs for the Planning and Design phase itself. The main topics covered in the Planning and Design phase are:
- Identification of the data that would characterize a customer's current network
- Document the customer’s current applications, protocols, topologies and numbers of users
- Determine and document the business issues and requirements that are relevant to the project
- Access the health of the existing network and it's ability to support the requirements and growth
- Diagram the flow of information for new applications or call flows
- Identify Business Goals/Success Criteria for acceptance of the design
When designing solutions/networks one of the primary tasks performed is that of topology selection. IST focuses on the following features to optimize the selection of the topology against the business requirements:
